on: May 05, 2018, 04:19:04 pm
Hello
Just a simple question from a noob

What should you think about when you make a portfilio?

Im mostly interested in game genre.
This may be a very open question but i want help with everything.
So how did you do it? what could you do better? What is the best part of it?

1: Limit it to your best work and things you want to find work doing.
2: Have your own website, don't host it on tumblr or facebook or the like if you can help it. If you can't afford that, use a built-for-it website like Artstation.
3: figure out what your average turnaround time on your work is, AKA how long it takes you to finish specific kinds of work. Start habitually timing yourself for this purpose.
4: DO EVERYTHING. try out environments, animation, character sprites, talk sprites, etc etc etc. Try new stuff till you figure out what is most and least fun for you.
PSA: use imgur
