Project Name: Heavy Limbs

Engine: TBD

Genre: 2D Top Down,  Dark Roguelike

Compensation - Rev share. Everyone besides me will get the bigger percentages. Since I have a steady source of income, I’ll take the smallest amount just to make that a resource for doing more in the future. That is the goal and I’m sticking with it. I’m trying to make this rev share as appetizing as possible. I aim to keep this team as lean as possible so there is more to go around. Money is not MY intent here but I understand fully that this is a business. We will discuss further.

Description: A fast paced action game with an emphasis on visual storytelling. Non complex player character mechanics for a streamlined player experience. Minimal dialogue to sift through. A very “Quick on your feet” style of play. The game will consist of the player playing in one interconnected level and beating a number of different bosses before continuing on to finish off the last Boss. Meant to be a very straight forward experience that will leave the player thinking “This is a solid little game” and will not require hours and hours of lore to stand on its feet. It will make it’s name through the mechanics and the health system specifically. The health system I have chosen really sets the unspoken rules for the game and how to approach it as a player and helps give the sense of suspense. Making the player feel like they are not untouchable, but still have the sense of a “Can do”  challenge and being rewarded for their success accordingly. Permadeath will be implemented but with the health system and the difficulty, I want to build the sense of a “Tug-a-war” with the permadeath just to add suspense.

I have detailed documents on mechanics and bosses that I can share if I get any interest at all.

Again, how I want to make this stand out above the rest is a guarantee that I will take the least of the percentage of revenue and artists and programmers will take the most. I can’t pay as we go but this way, that can be made up for with the finished product. I’m beyond ready to make this happen. Let’s talk.

Thanks

I would be interested in hearing more about this opportunity. My portfolio and personal project links are in my signature. Shoot me a PM if I might be a good fit.
