Monsterhunter Dog colors need some tweaking.

on: February 05, 2018, 05:42:34 pm
Totally forgot that this site exists.

I had to experiment with the colors alot and i am not sure if it is good enough...the original has alot of textures so i had to find a nice balance...anyone can help without adding another color?

Hello!

So a couple of things concerning your colours:
  • You use a lot of colours with max saturation and brightness, the orange on the front legs, the blue of the shoulder, purple on the neck and rear legs
  • You use perfect grays  (saturation 0) and whites which doesn't exist much in real life
  • You have strange ways to link colours -> your white highlight for the fur is the same white highlight for the blue shoulder. The brown you use to shade the bones on the right leg is the same brown used on the right leg but on a different texture.
  • You use some of your colours as both highlight tones and shading tones for instance the purple and blue both highlight the claws

I hope this can help :)
