Heyyo, good start for sure !
The turnaround test; the different angles are looking quite good and well defined, here are some edits i'd make:
-The facing Right, the Belt doesnt correctly rotate with it
-The Facing Up, the Tail floats above the leg whereas on the other angldes, its on the floor.

Now the Walk cycle; Weird indeed, ahah! I'd look into keyframing each main element of a walk cycle:
           [Neutral -> Right Step-> Neutral -> Left Step]
After that, add the Foot Lift inbetweens:
           [Neutral ->(lift) -> Right Step-> Neutral ->(lift) -> Left Step]
Note: *Whilst one foot is lifting, the other foot is dragging back

Hopefully this helps a bit

The details and shapes are good, but I think both animations need about twice as many frames. As they are, they are far too quick and twitchy, and extra frames would allow you to improve some aspects:
  • seeing the feet move in the turnaround test, without confusing them with the tail
  • flexing the legs in discrete sweeps in the turnaround test (now the character spins at uniform speed as if on a turntable)
  • moving the sword up and down in the turnaround test (to underline that the character is keeping balance)
  • moving arms and legs a bit more in the walk cycle (also turning the chest left and right and moving the belt up and down)

Wow Guys! great help so far!! Thank you so much!

I have been trying to adjust the walk cycle but it's still a bit wonky. I still have to add the tail, not sure how I am going to do that...
Also, do you guys think maybe the body is too long?

I tried tackling the side walk cycle, but it doesn't seem to fit with the front walk cycle at all... I can't figure out how to fix things.

sorry for the double post, I can't seem to remove this one...
