Yes. Searching for 'pixel tutorial' on google, finding Tsu's tut, following it to this place.

I was linked to pixelation by some Canadian guy who used to make smileys in some other forums I used to visit. (And that was around Dec 2003)

I got they Idea that I could make a River City Ransom type remake game.  So I went off looking for sprites that I could use as bases.  To google it was.

At the time of old pixelation such FADS that were going around such as as the Colin Sick Fan Club(lots of RCR hits with this one) Brass Knuckles and Belt Buckles and the I *-ate SALS signatures drew me in.

I found that I went to the same school at the same time as Mister Sick and I may have indeed met him, as soon as I was in brief correspondence with him, he lost his internets somewhere in Asia.

This story is only interesting to me... :D

/I'd rather not tell the alternative truth that I was in search of some very very low res pr0nography...

I believe I found out through some artist at devianatART. I vaguely remember checking it out and being scared of a forum based community (as I never used forums before... it's a laugh now that I think about it). I also remember being so intimidated by the amazing pixels I found there and it inspired me to never return until I thought I was ready. PixelJoint ended up becoming my home and rediscovered the wonders of it through there.

PixelJoint is awesome. I believe PJ is a stepping stone between Pixelation and DA: People seem to have a notion of 'intimidation' about Pixelation, but have grief about the poor representation of Pixel Arts at DA, so PixelJoint is meeting an important demand by creating a very welcoming environment for casual pixelers or those who want a gallery system like DA, but catered towards pixeling.

but seriously pep  :P, why all the polls recently?
I could say that it was for the staff to get to know what the members are like, but that wouldn't be the truth of it at all since polls don't do justice compared to getting to know people on an individual basis. I did it for the general interest, discovering forum trends that show how Pixelation relates to the rest of the internet. I also did it, subsequently, for all of you guys, because I think this information is going to prove somewhat useful in the near future.
