We're looking for gamers who are interested in virtual reality! How would you like to play god in VR (something you cannot do in real life)?

I am very interested, I've been dreaming how pixel art in VR will look like (I'm talking alternatives to voxel art, so things like parallax and custom shaders). On the voxel art front, Fugl is an amazing experience (flying, which you can't do in real life unless you're paragliding or such).

What do you have in mind?

I am pretty sure a standardization of VR will ultimately herald the death of pixel art as a mainstream (commercial and indie) game medium.  Tough to say for sure, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Only thing I can see working is pixel art aesthetics in 3d such as Sub Level Zero and some other games like low res voxels.. etc

Eh. I can't imagine there won't be a whole subgenre of retro doom clones in vr.
I think as far as pixelart is concerned it won't affect the genre much.
Plus, not every game made is gonna be vr. It's a rough technology still and even when perfected there will still be a lot of things that won't be exactly feasible within those constraints (2d platformers, for example) that will keep the pixel market open.

Even when we all live in VR 3D, we can still look at flat screens inside the VR world from time to time. :) Just like we do pixel art now, when we don't have to—for nostalgia, and for the aesthetic. 2D in itself will also become that at one point.
