Hi Everyone, I am working on a 2D time management game called Cargo Venture. It's a game where you start your own shipping company and use vehicles from 4 different categories (cars, planes, boats and trains) to deliver cargo all over the world to hundreds of different cities. Programming is still going on and may be for some time and 99% of all our art is programmer art. I would just like some temporary art that looks better but is consistent in style. If anyone out there wants experience working on a serious game project, this is your chance. You don't have to be a pro, but decent art skills are required.
This is a multi-thousand dollar project that I hope to get on steam and android in the future. I have exausted all monetary resources on programming. However, right now I think the game has progressed enough programming wise to show it off but I have no art, and I don't want anything permanent so i figured I would see if anyone out there wants an opportunity to work on a real game, it would be a great thing to add to a portfolio. If so, you can either PM me on here or send an email to: thundermountainstudios@yahoo.com

Some art we need:

-At least 2 or 3 vehicles from each category
-A few background screens
-Vehicle part images
-Some special crate images

And a few other assorted things.

Below are some images from the game and some descriptions. The images are quite big i dont know how to scale them down, apologies for that.

Here is the map screen above north america, there are not many cities yet but thats something we are still working on.

This is the market screen this is where you can buy or lease vehicles. You can lease vehicles forever, or rent to own them. Both have monthly payments but are cheaper than outright buying them.

This screen shows all the vehicles you own in your fleet. The sliders are for choosing how many passengers or cargo you want each vehicle to carry. Each vehicle has a set amount of passengers or cargo, but the slider allows you to choose a value for either within that amount.

Along the side you can see Buttons that say Sell, which is self explanatory, Parts which shows all the vehicles parts, which is the picture below. Crew which is the list of people needed to operate the vehicle. Retire, which allows you to store your vehicles if you dont want to use them but dont want to sell them. History is the repair history of the vehicles parts and how much they cost to fix.

Vehicle Parts screen, this shows all the parts the vehicle has and what their health is. When a vehicle is in motion, the parts health will deteriorate.

This screen shows all the employees in a vehicle. Employees can be hired from the employee screen, all have randomized names and skill levels. We are still working on skill levels right now but right now how it works is the higher the skill level, the faster the vehicle can travel, making for shorter travel time and the faster the mechanics can repair damaged vehicle parts.

The refueling screen is where you can purchase fuel for vehicles, the cost of fuel changes every 2 hours. You can also use fuel from fuel tanks, which there are four of, 1 for each vehicle category. You can do that in case you are running low on money or if you just dont want to spend any on gas.

The cargo screen is where you can load items and people into vehicles. All cargo value is randomized and so are the distance and same cargo bonuses. Distance bonuses mean that the further you go, the more money your cargo will be worth. Same cargo bonuses mean that if you have more than 1 of the same cargo the bonus will apply, so if you have 3 cargo worth $200 per cargo, that would be an extra $600 you can make.

This just shows the Cessna in transit, all vehicles will have their own top down images on the map screen to be able to quickly identify what vehicle it is.

Are you sure pixel art is a good idea for a game where most of the assets will be getting rotated (and possibly resized?) automatically all the time? Pixel art tends to look awful in these scenarios.
