Queen Aconita

on: July 23, 2017, 10:38:31 pm
Hi, i'm a human being, i swear.

I've been pixelarting for some years now. I got to a level where i want to tackle the crazy idea of creating my very own game with the ideas i gathered over the years.
I'm trying to get comfortable with my own style and was hoping this community that seems surprisingly active could help me improve and get even better. I wish i found out about this place earlier, hope i can still fit in. I'm a weirdo and it takes time to tolerate me.

Anyway, here you go

This is the first character design. I'm struggling with the colors, i need three variations, one yellowish, one cyanish and one magentish. Any critique, nitpicking and opinions is tolerated. Don't go easy on me, pls.

Since I just joined the website I can't really be that good at providing you any good tips to make it better. But I have been playing games for a couple of years.

You should most likely make variations of the sprites, not just the colors. Maybe make one with her arms out or something like that? If you don't wanna do that just make subtle changes to them, change the color of their eyes or maybe the hair as well.

Good luck with making more pixel art and making that game.

Looks amazing!
You can make the clothes look more interesting if you use more than one color.
The gem in the crown looks a bit away from where it should be. I moved it 1px to the left and I think makes more sense now:

I really like it, but here is a little "edit" (personal taste)
