Newbie, Hoping for advice.

on: July 20, 2017, 07:17:18 pm

Basically the first ever pixel art I have made that took some time. It looks ok, but I was hoping someone would have some suggestions/improvments. Thanks.

Now i'm going to preface this by saying a i'm a newbie as well but the shading in the bottom have doesn't match the top half. I'd say you'd be better of with a more subtle shading scheme in the skirt. Also i think a white background isn't a good way to present the sprite it gives it a weaker silhouette then it actually has. The design it's self is quite cool. Reminds me of dark souls a lot.

in the current composition i have difficulties to understand what is going on with his hands, to me the look like they are both too short.
