Hi, I've just started using GraphicsGale for pixel art yesterday and would like to ask how to change the background color. Thank you!

What do you mean? You can just use the flood fill to fill with any background you want. To make it so that the color stays when things are cut and moved, turn on the layer transparency by clicking the ellipses "..." on the layer and selecting the background color as the transparent color. Do the same for the frame to set the transparency for the image.

Do you mean of the software itself?
