Hi, I started to fool around with pixel art not so long ago just when I discovered how to import my own assets into the Unity and make use out of it. As a starting point I have chosen "Piskel", free editor on a browser, to do all the work on and so far I feel pretty comfortable with it.
I am trying to make 2D animations as well as just single frame images. However as newbie I have to learn a lot here. I haven't done too much yet however I feel like some feedback on my current work could give me a ton of information and help with seeing how pixel art should look.
Below are my first arts, could you please tell me how could I improve them or what should I avoid in the future creations. Also, that's probably too vague, but I really struggle with walking animations (as you can see from sprites below), could you give some tips on how to position legs and whole body so that it doesn't look as "retarded" as in my animation?

Same model, but with some environment:

Thank you for your time and sorry if my English poked your eye to hard.

Hello there :D

I'm new here as you to but I learned something about pixel art (not that much but I guess it could be useful for you) About the legs I don't know exactly what form you wanted to make (tip try to sketch it on paper or try with some layers on your Editor I'll show you some examples)
1. Sketch

2.Giving some colors, details and  change of attitude

3.Some Extra things liek (guns, rings, magic stuffs or technology)

4. Finding Some things I didn't liked and trying to change it ! (in this sprite I've tried to change a Helmet + this rings)

5. Highlight,Shadows ring change and details

About the pixel art here is the site where you can learn something about how to avoid some mistakes (I'm not that perfect to but you know ;3) https://opengameart.org/content/les-forges-pixel-art-course + video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEGeveEsg0Q and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbCw-_iRdc8 and the wideo how to make an animation of walking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQZECTSzaaI

I hope this will help you alot with pixel art and your "perfect" style technique so yea have fun ;D That's the main thing on pixel art !
