Hi my name is Ranaldo i want to become a game designer very badly and i know far away from that, but every1 has to start from somewhere. Heres my first pixel animation that i intend to use in the game I'm making. I really want to know your thoughts and all my errors. So i can make improvements and show you guys it in week or 2

Ok, first thought: shading needs to be scrapped and redone! Reason: pillow shading and inconsistent light source! Look up some tutorials on how to properly shade and work from there!
Second: shrinking shin! Trying to avoid the hard work of moving the whole leg like that will, in most cases, look pretty off and require fixing!

Keep cracking at it though, great starts here!

You posted this link: https://ibb.co/i81sNa. It's a link of a website with the gif. To display it directly in the post you have to use the tag "img" with the direct link inside the tag. To get the direct link, in your case, you just have to open the website you used as host and right click/copy image adress. It should be like this:

Two words: pillow shading.
Pillow shading is when one gradually goes from one extreme out of saturation to the other extreme in a gradient from the center of the image. Try to determine a light source before pixeling, as pillow shading goes against that rule. Otherwise, this looks really good! The animation is very nice and smooth!(don't trust me on this. I'm only 14...)

Heres on a update on what i did the last time. I try to make the movement look more simple and try the pillow shading.thx for all the advance.

The shading is a whole lot better, good job.

The animation is a bit too fast and you have achieved the movement by cutting a pixel of his legs. Try a bending motion instead.

The blinking animation is a bit extreme too.Typically only the top lid closes unless you squint and the eyebrows shouldn't follow either.

By the way, pillow shading is what you did the first time around and is what you should be avoiding.

Merged threads. Please avoid making unnecessary forks and read the FAQ on how to link images properly.
