The texture is way to hard. Smoothen things out, add some darks, and add a nice light source everytihng seems all one color. This could of been made better with alot less numver of colors.

hey

I think it looks quite like pillow shading, well mainly the face, wings and front. There seems to be an obvious light source that hits the back. I think you need to darken the front, oposite where the light is hitting. Hmm, maybe you are trying to simulate light reflected from the ground? if it's meant to be standing on ground? and not in a tree or something? but even if it was your goal to have light reflected off the ground and onto the front of it or whatever, I think it looks pillowy, and maybe a tad bright, and needs taking down a few shades or so. Again, even if it was intended... I'd actually advise you forget about light reflected from the ground, and just master a single light source.

I might try and make an edit to help with the lighting.

I think the texture is interesting to me, I'm still not to sure about it though... as I don't get the immediate impression of soft feathers. Otherwise, keep at it! :)

another edit

Well I ruined your texture in the process, but I tried to better define the light. Ohh, you should take note that I don't know the anatomy of a bird, and feathers and such. I might actually look into it and further do my edit. But yea, I'm no expert... so you probly should wait for others to confirm or deny my thoughts.

isnt pillow shading where its light in the middle and darkens outwards? my light source is from the top right.  i dont think it really changed much to the picture when you edited it but who knows. the anatomy could be found by clicking the thing that says REFERENCE in my first post.
