(WIP) Android

on: October 21, 2006, 07:49:01 pm

I just started this yesterday. Not sure whether I should turn the breast plates more feminine or masculine, and the are a few areas very unfinished like the head and neck.

The head and chest look a little bit overworked (almost pillowshady oh-my-gawd) and the aa could be better in some places, but the piece looks very dinamic and realistic (not real, realistic). Therefore, I believe you should leave it as it is or work backwards towards something less smooth.

Itz beautiful btw :-*

EDIT: This is a neat example of what I meant before (only this was intentional :P)

If anything, make the legs more smooth, not less. AWESOME ART TOO.

I like more the design.

The right leg its good the reflection and form, etc.. but the left leg not like the reflection and the form is a little deform i think.

But well in overall the i a great piece, please finish!!

I like the lower body far more, specifically the "shorts".
The head looks like it was sprited a different way, and then warped, giving it a blur that is too much. I guess that's what Filax is trying to say; it's "overworked".
I prefer the sharpness of the shorts to the blur of the upperbody.

I hope this gets finished, it's a cool piece.
"Baboy" is Filipino for pig.

Looks amazing to me, I love the green area of the legs. The slight green light on the breast plate's a nice touch too.

Though I would say that the top half of the image almost lets the bottom half down. Maybe make the arms on the breast plate more squared off rather than rounded to unify it with the lower half? The nearest arm in perticular looks off to me.

Awsome peice in all though, love to see it finished.

His right leg slopes toward his hips on the underside, ruining the dimension and the coolness, in my opinion, of the thigh shapes and how they connect.
How long can the floor creak before it loses its voice?

Here's a small update:

I'm going to have her stabbing something with her spike-foot... I'm trying to think of what I could put.

Filax, I see what you mean. I decided on the palette size before hand, as opposed to adding new colours along the way, so that's probably why it's resulted in the overworked appearance.
