Life In The Country

on: February 26, 2017, 09:05:42 am
Hi guys,

I am experimenting with a new style and this is my latest work.
What do you think?

Edit: Reduced to 24 colors.

House feels just slightly too plain, perhaps some scattered wear or brick patterning?

Agree with Mystery. Wear, brick pattern would help on house and chimney. Same for the roof.

I reduced the color count to 24.

I wanted to keep the building clean and flat. Experimenting with larger flat clusters to give a fresh and bright overall effect.
While making this I tried lots of variations with wear and brick patterns but I found them to be looking too busy and noisy compared to other parts of the image.

Thanks!

What about some subtle aging

I really like the style here.  I do like the edit rocifier did.  The subtle aging on the house unifies the whole thing a bit more.
Also, the foreground greenery seems like it should have some brighter parts.  Looks a bit like a drained pond right now.

I like the style, but would remove the lines inside the trees.
