on: January 19, 2017, 12:54:43 pm
Hello!
So i just made my first tile set for my game. This my my first try so it may or may not look bad(most likely it's gonna be bad).I am looking for feedback so please tell what you think.Ty you  :)

P.S. ignore the cats they are prototypes and are soul less magical things that don't even die.

Here is the tile set not used in a "World"/"Map"/IDK

I spent a lot of time trying to get those kind of tileset look better, the biggest mistake that we "all" do, is make noisy grass with grass being noise of 1 or 2px when beginning, it's much better in pixel art to have mostly clean areas of the same color with pattern of grass.

See how much more readable it gets.

It is much harder to achieve that it may look in the first place.

More contrast. Avoid dithering, it's not justified here, at least less of it. A darker color on the grass border helps giving depth.
