Just a bit of SMF information for you: You can pick which graphic you use for stars, but you can also choose a unique graphic for each rank, and change the number of stars for it... so it's feasable to have the first five ranks use yellow and red bordered shurikens, and the second half could use purple and blue bordered shurikens, and restart the number of stars from 1 to 5 again. We'll just have to wait and see, unless someone wants to nominate themselves for a high rank test.
