Maybe you can give the staffs more personality and color by adding some clothe or something wrapped around some part of the pole. Also, maybe you can give the staffs a more "gnarled" look to it. Look up gnarled wood staff. The pixels just look too straight. Maybe making them longer will allow you to experiment with the staffs more. I think the yellow orbs don't work well with the brown either but that's just my opinion. I think a green orb would work best. Blue and purple might be good too.
One more thing, change the brown ring to silver or gold and change the color of the gem to something else. Same with the necklace. That's all my feedback! Keep up the good work!
