I'm sort of in the same boat as Raylon - this character's design feels so "cute for the sake of being cute and nothing else" that instead of finding it cute, I find it irritating. I think it being armless while looking like it should have arms (it has shoulders, pecs, and human-like legs) contributes heavily to that - it all just feels too calculated. The most effective cute designs are where the cuteness feels incidental (even when it's not), where it feels like a consequence of the character's features, rather than the features being a consequence of trying to be cute. That is, when the character's features all add up to something that "makes sense" (not in reality, but in the context of the character and its environment, if there is one). Because you have features in the design that suggest that arms should be a thing, it makes the lack of arms too conspicuous to be incidental. Making the armor have more obvious arm holes that just don't fit right (and the whole armor not fitting right) could help, if you want the "wearing armor meant for someone else" look.

I hope that made some sense.

Also, isn't this oekaki? It should probably be in the 2D & 3D section. That's assuming you're looking for feedback on the art at all. I can't tell.

I'm loving the art, but I agree the armor doesn't look right for a little guy with no arms. Also, its really reminding me of http://imgur.com/gallery/eavKq.

thanks guys

llij the suit is exectly what he needed
look at how quickly he picked up how to operate it:

not bad!!!

^  fortunately before he got into anymore serious scraps we took a tip from mysterymeat and added a handy helmet piece to hopefully protect against outer space hydraulic powered scalpels and other threats

But anyway I’m going to help train little friend, I won’t stand to see him take this abuse any longer
We’re taking it a bit slow because he’s still recovering after the tea incident, but his training is coming along nicely! You can do it, little guy!

@Ozego  his new companion is already making him want to fight harder. Something tells me he's unstoppable now!

@eishiya  well just to clear up any confusion about his arms, you see:

I made this anatomy chart to clarify his body's composition. As you can see his skeleton has very little upper body.
This is why the new power suit was needed. His previous body armor wasn't designed specifically for him, but it was all he had. llij could easily see that . . .

@prototyke  Never seen that imgur album, i dont really see any similarities. But thanks, i'm glad we changed the armor.

He looks like a ball with a dick inside it.
