Well first off, I was Icy :P.

This is my new avatar, it has 3 colors and it took about 30-45minutes,
and it was inspired by Lief's avatar.

Thats all.

Update2:

Hows this?

I should probably post before i go out, so this will be brief

I edited up a reincarnation of the above image for you earlier, the basics i was trying to get across:
- The letters in the name are a tad unreadable
- The left arm was shorter
- Total lack of scenery to provide some additional interest
- some minor (in my oppinion) flaws in the form cause by your use of the middle tone
- the head was separated from the body
- i Threw in a little purple for interest

i'll try to be a little more indepth later if you're interested.

Thank you very much for that post. :)

The lack of scenery was a style choice,
and I've been working on it a bit every now and then, so thats why I haven't replied.

Any more cnc is very welcome.

Much better now.
I do enjoy the development of the character, he seems much more likely to be carrying that sword now.

My one remaining nitpick is the Antialiasing on the 45o angle lines, it's really not worth it, making the picture blurry (to me)
Excellent use fo the middle tone for shading now, and you've adressed the arm problem, thought the highlight on the right shoulder seems a tad bit, and the forehead suffers from a little boxness

Still a great improvement, you might want to tinker with your letters,
I realize it's hard to Anti alias with only one middle-tone, so you really have to decide wether certain areas really need it.
