Tried a self portrait, need help

Hair is hard, how can I do blond highlights without it looking like crap? Also my neck and face seem too bland. Any suggestions?

Haha alright alright. I normally have blue eyes but they can't be seen in the photo so I modified them.

Quick edit before I saw the photo.  Pixeling in clusters works in small images instead of drawing strands of hair.  Adjusted your colors a bit.

Interesting way to color the hair, but I feel like it is still a bit lacking compared to the photo. I will see if I can use some clusters to improve things. Also I think I am not quite that pink :P
