I think you're right, I tried to move the bangs but I'm not sure I like it


Yeah, definitely too much and a bit jittery to boot. I'd say go back to the previous version and just have them come down a pixel or two when she bottoms out.

ok i simplified it and I think it looks much better



or do you think i should have kept that extra tuft of hair above the bangs? i think it was too much
also, im about to attempt the back view walk cycle, would i just basically draw over the front view?

That looks perfect as is, the extra tuft was definitely too much.
As for drawing over the front sprite, that seems the best way to keep things consistant yeah
