Make comparisons of past and current iterations.
Not just for our benefit.
It's a super useful tool for guiding your progress and what to do next.

That's looking much more like molten metal!  Try to smooth it out some, the chunks in the pictures are bits where the metal's started to solidify again as it cools! If anything, it follows much the same rules as magma and vice-versa, as both are molten minerals.

Well, it ended like this:

The gold is a little more smooth, as it's not completely hot (to differentiate it from other metals).

Thanks for your replies.

I don't see any hard to see icons, please, be specific about which are.
I said hard to read.
Look at fire+ice. i suppose its steam, but on its own it could be snow, a rock, a molten marshmallow, a soggy fallen over plushy.
Similar problems are with rock+ice, leaf+fire, wood+fire, water+water, fire+rock, gold+gold, each to varying degrees of readability.
it looks like you're designing things to be able to fit in a hand. i'm not sure if that's a deliberate limitation or if it just happened to turn out that way.
If that's the case you could also create things like fire+rock=volcano. rock+water=waterfall or a well.

I've changed the clouds and the water, I think the rest are readable enough.
