Professional Animator and Pixel artist.

on: July 23, 2016, 05:39:19 am
Hello!

I'm a professional Animator and Pixel Artist, and this is a small collection of samples from some of the games I have worked on.

A little about me:

I started working with video game art in 2009 for about a year, then took a break and started again in 2012 as full time game artist, including Lead Artist roles and more recently as Art Director for the past 2+ years in the recently launched Star Trek: Trexels II.

One of my main points of focus is to provide frame-by-frame hand drawn Animation that boosts a dynamic and charismatic look to characters and monsters. This is huge advantage against all other animation techniques used in recent 2D games that use 'puppet' or vector animations, and just end up looking stiff and generic.

Besides the love for drawing, I'm a gamer at heart, which I consider an important part when developing games. You've got to know your past to excel in the future.

Feel free to ask anything.

Even though this Star Trek badge above looks 3D it's pure pixel art, 2D hand-drawn in pixels :)

This last one is a small giveaway (advance wars-like tileset), you can use it as long as I'm credited for it ;)

Hey Dnilo, I'm loving your sample work. I'm looking to hire someone to make a few small emotes for my Twitch channel. If you're interested, can I contact you via email or something? Thanks!

Hi I'm looking to hire an artist for a project, I need background tiles and animations in a SNES era, 16 bit style. It's a smaller project, but it is paid work and I know exactly what need.

please contact me at andrewstamps@gmail.com

Thank you

Andrew
