Pepper Pixel WIP

I made a pepper Pixel for my blog and tried to also work to make my pixels a bit bigger in such a small image size- like making the lineart bigger.

The shadings pretty straight forward? but of course you can correct me because again im not the best at shading trust me.

I'm proud I didn't have to make this pixel art turn out as close as my others ^^;

The reason its bright and the stem is sorta all wiggly is because I sorta wanted to give it cartoon or lively sorta vibe to it?

There's not a whole lot of animation on the flame, and the bounce feels kind of sharp for what is presumably supposed to be a burning pepper.
The art itself looks good, but I encourage you to try for some frames of the flames moving.

OH! ok, that's why I was confused. The new one looks alright, but a bit "folded over"
I know peppers really do look like that a lot, but it doesn't feel as juicy as most peppers are.

I would say it looks kind of floppy, maybe make it more straight and have a slight curve like this picture
(I didn't want to post the image because it's very large)

also- @Mysterymeat may I ask- what do you mean by juicy exactly?    just so I get a better description of what you meant.

Fixed it to make it look less floppy!
idk about the highlights though rn.. any sugestions for those? or are they okay?

Folds and past-basics shading have never been my real forte, but would that curve there in the middle be that dark?

Would you perhaps suggest making it a bit lighter by adding a different shade?
