Eh, I think it's a matter of personal taste, because at least because of the context, the latest edit by Shnurbs looks well enough like a flower (reminds me of Petey Piranha). I think putting them in front like that makes it less clear what the head shape is, and misses the opportunity of putting them in perspective.I would suggest you make the darkest red on the flower character less harsh, it pops out just a bit too much to come across as the darkest shade.
