Fox Practice

on: February 27, 2016, 05:50:26 pm
I've been practicing pixel art for a few hours, learning hue shifting and such, and I wanted some feedback on this little fox I created.

I highly suggest you read these two threads:

how to shade fur?
fox - render fur or keep it simple?

These are basically the questions you have.

I fixed the fox, changed some of the palettes, and removed the outline (Because I like sprites without outlines better anyway). Does the fur look any better now?

I like the look of your fur but the anatomy doesn't look right to me. Also the forelegs look weird because of that.

The body is way too square..
Also the jaw and chest blends together, you need to shade it so it's separated.
I also think it needs bigger ears.
