Helm, your very right. It's almost like selective outlining is good, and Selout™ is bad. This is a very interesting topic, I may join in with something by MC Escher.

Please don't make an isometric Escher piece. Every time someone does that, a kitten dies. Originality begs you not to make another one...

OT: I never did understand why all the cute animals of the world have become so fragile.

If a kitten dies out of opposing opinions there might just be a chance that there is something very wrong with that cat.

More OT Posts and not only kittens will be dying  :mean:

But really less talking and more pixelling, I'd like to see more.
Oh and I will work on mine tomorrow.

Indeed anyone that has posted in this thread but doesn't end up participating in the challenge will be hunted down and systematically beaten over the head with a bag full of half-dead kittens.  <3

if you are doing escher, it would be cool to do something like http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~gotsman/Escher/Images/Escher/ball.jpg in full-on demoscene style, though i dont want to taint your ideas if you already have some

every time you warn people with kittens, god kills a domo-kun
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

How don't know if you consider John Siger Sargent an old master, so I figured I should ask before I get to the boring part of the picture (the hair, I mean)...This is where I've gotten so far:

The original image is a simple black and white scketch, but I intend to take it a step further and give it some colour. Right now I'm only blocking the basics and trying to get the values right...
I don't remember where I got the reference from but I'll post later :y:

Wow, that's really funny. Firstly, I had no intention of doing isometric Escher, and secondly, the reflection was at the top of my list. I guess we think a lot alike. Cool.  :P

:'( Don't hurt me with dead kittens pls...

And because of that i thought i'd make this little thing to secure my defence from that fate.

Salvador Dali's clocks in sprite form?  :yay:
(Obviously as it walks the hands of the clock spin and globs of it drop off...)
