What looks bad exactly? You have not posted an example of your work.

How to display external source photos:
Take the image url, highlight it

click the button that looks like mona lisa
you should get this

Do you happen to have a smaller version of this or is this your 1:1 scale of the image?

My critique:
Here's a quick edit of some points I think you could improve on. For starters, your sprite is pretty huge. Nothing wrong with making huge sprites, but typically when starting off you wanna start small. My first sprite was a cube, which I am pretty sure every on in their pixel art career has done eventually. I compared it to the size of one of my biggest sprites I have made, and it towers it. Secondly, your light source isn't really consistent, or makes much sense, unless you have multiple light sources? which I am not really sure you do, you should work on your shadows. Thirdly, I kept finding weird random pixel noise. especially by the feet, and in the corner. Indicating you saved it as a jpeg? even though the file name says its a png so I am not quite sure what is going on there.
I believe you need to work on quite a bit of things, but it's not too bad as a drawing itself I suppose. It displays the idea so its a start.

not enough info.
what r u trying to do here?
What's the story with this character?
what is she (or he lol) supposed to be?

I think the linework is pretty good but its hard to tell what kind of pose this is.
the hands look raised a bit like half ready to fight but the rest of the pose is as if she might be holding a microphone nervously singing karaoke.
either way u could push the feet a bit further apart

I think you should bend her knees a bit and thin her shins as well. As for the skirt, you can check this out; Human Sprite

Well she doesn't seem to have a remarkable bosom... So you don't need to put any lines on the chest area, just put some shading over there while filling it in I guess.

Her left foot should end below the right one to get the right perspective, if she's not stepping on something. In that case her skirt should curve on top of her left leg because it goes forward. When drawing anime style hair, I've always found it easier to start symmetrical and think of it like a spiky helmet. Let me draw some hair for you, while you deal with the leg problem.

It's hard to explain, but as you can see it looks like a helmet sitting on top of her head :) Just try to make the details on the front in a different color from those on the back, or use outlines to differentiate.

Try studying arm anatomy in depth for a while, then come back to this, it'll be easy. Arms are a trickier mass of fat and muscles than they appear, so trying to stylize them with just the outline can be tricky and noodly.

Here's a Da Vinci reference that works quite well:

Personally, I think Sean Galloway is a master at simplifying arms, have a look here:

The arms you've used on the first sprite are actually pretty ok, but if you're not satisfied with them, check out a few boxing poses.
This one is what you're looking for I guess;

Also, sure. I'm posting almost everything I draw here and check the place daily so you can get in touch with me through the forum anytime you want.
