It seems that Secret Santa is pretty much my main impetus for pixelling.

Standouts for me this year are 0xDB, Dex, Super 17, Drazelic, Jeremy, and Finlal's stuff. Oh, and of course, zccc's interactive gift

Also, good job at running it this year, Atnas. I very much appreciate all the gifts being displayed in the thread. It's good not having to open a bunch of extra tabs.

it comes with a sugestion to watch those two shows(Mobile Suit Gundam and Captain Harlock), if you feel like watching some cool fantasy-medieval-sci-fi mishmash.

Hehehe, that's a pretty awesome interpretation. There's actually a bit of context for the scene--I liked your prompt, since it brought Dunsany to mind--he had an amazing way with prose and lots of great ideas, but many of his stories (like that one) are tonally inconsistent and don't fully hold together. He's one of my favorite authors but often frustrating to read.

Wowzer, there is a lot of good stuff this year! Pretty much everyone put out some amazing art. Well done everybody.
I'm especially impressed with how much stuff Finlal managed to put out at such high quality. Nicely done, man!

This has made me really sad I didn't sign up. I could have had one of these pieces all for myself!
Was fun enough making a gift for someone else though - I actually want to add more stuff to the piece that I thought of but didn't have the time to implement, so I'll probably make an edit at some point.

Haha, I was super afraid you wouldn't like it. I tried really hard to move out of my comfort zone with this one and use weird colors I otherwise would never consider using. It was really fun to do though, I messed around with a ton of stuff I've never done before in pixelart!

Goodness gracious, five whole gifts?! They all look so good!

Lovely lighting and mood on Ambivorous's work! I love the green and purple unified by the blue tint, and the lighting on the girl is well-thought-out!
That's so neat, Metaru! It's an intriguing design that I could see happening if Mortis Ghost made an Undertale fangame.
Striking colors, xhunterko! The red/blue contrast is bold, but not garish, and the humanoid silhouette is easily readable and very appealing!
Cool design, BatElite! The yellow-orange and blue-green is a spanky combination! Were they perhaps designed to resemble Papyrus?
And Boron - such a neat and effective background! The tank maintains a sense of depth despite the angle, and the low-contrast silhouetted background really sells the mood.

Man Pheno, it's funny you should mention the lighting on the girl because I just so happen to hate a lot of it and have already made an edit to fix it.

Especially the hair, g'damn. I also wanted to make the light at the top a dithered gradient (because that was in your likes), but I'm not very good with dithering yet it seems.
Glad you liked it though!

Is it true Draco didn't get a present? His likes seem pretty fun, so I'd be game to make something for him (am a little busy at the moment though).

This was a bit interesting for me because you said you didn't like slimy things or age wrinkled characters, and those are basically my favorite things to draw. I wonder if that was a conscious decision on the part of the matchmaker...
