this is probably the coolest color scheme/theme I've seen for any website, actually, I love it.

I love the new color scheme as well. It's nice without being too hard on the eyes.

I couldn't be happier with the design. Beautfiul. Simple. Effective. The little touches here and there are awesome, like the highlights on the the reply/quote/home/help/search/etc buttons. Or the pixel-fied BBcode buttons. And it's all tied together colour-wise in a cohesive and easy-to-read manner.

I'm almost shocked by how much of a different feel this board gives compared to the old neutral Pixelopolis colour. I'm changing the backgrounds in all my pixels from now on to a slightly tinted grey. Complete grey almost feels evil now.

Thank you to all the guys and girls who made this a reality. All bars have been picked up, smashed, and left two miles behind! You did great!

PS. The multi -res/-zoom banner seals the deal. I'm seeing purpose to the design everywhere I look. This is how a pixel board is supposed to look!

Small question. Is there anyway to change the scrollbars for this board? Currently, each post has its own horizontal scrollbar so that stretching images only messes up one post and keeps the rest of the page intact. This is annoying when you have a really big image or zoom level and are constantly moving down the page, scrolling over to the right, then moving up to look at the art, then moving down to scroll over right some more, and so on and so on. Can the individual horizontal scrollbars be axed and replaced by a single scrolly controlling the entire page instead of just one post?

Also, this has nothing to do with what I just typed, but I like this smiley
huh? huh! huh. H..uh. HUHHUHUH Huuuuuuuuuh?

For such cases, I just open a separate window with the zoomed art and write on another and alternate between the two. I don't think actual code modification should be implemented to suit such a need.

Really impressed with the layout. The colours are a lot better for the eyes and the addition of the newsbox gives the place an extra colour boost. (.. and its a bonus that my name has somehow been added in there as well  :D ) *cough*

If I had a hat, I'd take it off for you guys.

Hmm.. A lot of faces going around... I guess its time I got an avatar  :-\

I dont really understand what the, err, rules or guidlines behind them are, or anything about them. I do know however, that they're pretty awesome looking.

I also wanted to say that I feel very at ease here, like just the very skin has changed how I look at this place. Pixelopolis was never very inviting.

I have a theory on this: pure grey is evil. To test this out I've kidnapped several children and will be raising half in a room with grey walls, and the other half in a room with yellowy-grey walls. If my theory is correct then the pure-grey children should grow up to be thieves, murderers, and Enron CEOS, while the yellowy-grey children will grow up to be just like Helm.

I'll let you know how this turns out

Looks like there's no restrictions anymore :) I suppose it was Helm who made some interesting C64 avatar followed by Ptoing's flashing from C64 to 16 colors pallete. Ptoing linked me via icq and I was kinda ispired and <a href="http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=1950.0>made[/url] similar looking for myself but with ZX-Spectrum colors. Same day I saw miascugh made avatar like that with... hm unknown for me oldskul pallete :)

But the next day there were several avatars using Ptoing's pallete without turning to oldskul version. Now it's just a madness. Still a lot of fun

I was going to make one before, but it seemed to just be all the uber peeps, didn't want to try to compare myself to them  ;)

Making one now though.  :0'

Can some one make an avatar showcase thread, with all the avatars in one thread next to each other... so we can marvel at the beauty!

Ptoing was going to do that but there were not enough avatars that day ;) 3 to be correct.

done, with a new respect for anyone that knows how to make c64 look good, either in multicolor or hires modes (its my first time trying either)

the other thing i learned though, is that one should never try to draw curly hair.  screw whoever decided we scotts ought to have it >.<

the "shifty eyes" comes from the fact that, due to the placement of my eyes, i couldnt have them looking straight out or id violate the restriction ^^

Larwick you look emo, and my friend sarah thinks you are "hott" lol

A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.
