What Am I Doing Wrong With This Isometric Sprite?

on: November 29, 2015, 06:23:32 pm
Initially, when working on it, it seemed better than any of my past attempts at an isometric sprite. I've come back to it the next day and now I have so many questions. Is the chest too far out? Are the arms in the right position? That right leg looks derpy(or maybe it's the arm covering it?) The only thing I'm a bit satisfied with is the left leg. I've been trying to use references from these games:

I've tried mimicking posture but I just can't get it to look right. I need C/C on the sprite below, please!

Looks like a good start!

Some things that look a bit off to me are the hand on the arm seems to be coming out the wrong way, unless he has his arm twisted, speaking of arms I think you should probably be able to see a bit of his left one.

The angle doesn't seem quite right either, it should probably be a little bit more top down,  I feel we can see too much torso/chest and neck, the neck especially would probably be mostly hidden by his head at this perspective.

I was using this dude as reference, seems fairly close to the stance you were going for.
