I like it, especially the crest on the helmet which really conveys movement. In the spirit of providing something construction the sword swooshes seem to linger, how many frames are they maintained for?

Any chance you can post a pixel scaled image for a closer examination?

Click on it.
Since the animation is so small, you can probably afford to be a more more liberal with the frames and better convey the actions of such a small character. Add more in-between frames on short delay. Keep the unique frames. Use extra frames before the action with little changes in them to add anticipation. Have 1 short exaggerated frame for a main swing to add impact and frames after it for cool effects and particles that follow the direction of the action.

Edit: On black BG

(I went a bit overboard to show the point).

That's crazy dude looks so great, is there anyway I could see what you edited? I really like how loose everything is. I think if I learn this my animation skills while increase heavily.
Nvm figured it out, so more frames, less frame time i'm gonna work on that

I think the lessons from that animation is anticipation and squash-and-stretch. Notice the size of the plume when he does some big movement.

Of course, the followup is good, and the particles look smashing, but I think the two previous concepts are more important.
