When you have outlines at this resolution it gets a bit bloated.. With just outlines it's also hard to judge how this will look one you start shading.
I think the one with smaller feet looks better but the straight legs look weird.
I also think one foot angled towards the camera looks good, but I'm not sure how it would look in a walking cycle.
You should also considering aligning the face with the perspective, right now the eyes and chin line up horizontally while the feet do not..
I've looked a lot at FF Tactics sprites. Not the best walking animation though and they're quite chunky.
If you always have a dark shadow at their feet, you'll be able to shape the feet more easily by using AA.
