I'm not a color expert but I was playing around with idea of yellow sky. Then I thought I'd try to change the brown colors too. Hope this gives you a idea  :P


As for composition I think there's a lot going on here. I liked the original smaller picture much more, there was less distractions from the characters.

The smaller picture do work better. The only thing it looks to be missing, the wolf that is, would be some bright yellow of sorts.

I need to tackle a lot of the really big areas. Probably need to look at some reference because I'm at a loss for what to put in the background.

And this piece lacks a lot of cohesion. I need to step away from it again and think what I'm trying to convey.

scene is even more unbalanced without the weight of the tree.
it seems odd they would stand at that angle on the path.
That their gaze is opposite could be made to work and makes sense that wolf is looking around but combined with path angle seems too much.

what r u trying to say here?
whats the story of the scene?
some kind of scifi fantasy world?
