I'm new to pixel art, so if you think my advice is bad just ignore it but I love it!. The current version's glass bowl shape looked weird to me  so I fixed the more corner side if you could understand that. I also lighted the side of the out line facing the light and I darkened the lips more to show a more defined lip. All in all I like it!

I didn't think your advice was bad at all. I had my suspicions about the dome but you've confirmed my suspicions.

So, I fixed the dome. I darkened the lips. I tried for some reflection in the glass dome (to simulate glass), I reshaped the little guy under the dome too.



I find the octopus looks a lot better than the little dude, still some work to be done there I would think.

I tweaked the colors some more too.
