pirate skull

on: August 19, 2006, 10:32:06 am
hey

Well I ended up making this guy a little smaller than I would have liked :-\. Started with the same palette used with Ice Cream Muncher. He does have a rather large hump / sholder blade, but I dunno. I think I might try improve the legs, as I just think they can be better or something :-\.

Awesome. I love the palette, effectively used and the overall lighting and pose are superb. Yes, the shoulder blade is much too far out, but I think rounding off the back should be easy enough.
Great stuff.

i like the whole charecter but the monochrome hue is bugging me.

Everything you do looks the same. Get out of your comfort zone and start pixelling new things. You're going to get into a slump just making these weird figures.
And I am finally seeing that you were the one worth eating.

hey

and and

Just made a slight change to the body.

@GOODNIGHTdestroyer: Regardless of things you don't know I've done, or are working on... I do hope your wrong :-\. These would have to be one of the things I enjoy pixelling the most, and I feel I am making progress lately, as I seem to be more satisfied with my work :).

i think your handling on forms seems to be improving. these look less blob-ish than the previous works ive seen of yours.

Just try doing different things, do a portrait of something, or a tileset i do't know. Like you are improving at these, but still i'd like to see something different from you.
And I am finally seeing that you were the one worth eating.

is his left knee supposed to have a flat shade on the top?  otherwise it looks great.
