Whats the best way to draw a corn cob?

I am trying to draw my own sprites for a game of mine but found it extremely difficult to draw corn kernels on my corn cob. And i really couldnt find much on google images either.

Ice climber has a corn cob. I think the principle of simplified blocks, grass, roof tiles, etc. applies. Pick a spot for the texture and don't do it all over the surface, at least not high contrast. Applies no matter the color count. In this case the texture is also used to imply shade.

draw candy corn, it is te smallest part that is still corn - then, havng done this, tryto draw the smallest possible candycorn, and then try to make a bulb out of candy corn parts. play around with it
