The problem you have (it's common) is that the actual image is way stiffer than the gesture. Not sure if there's an "easy fix" for that, just exaggerate more?

For example, the legs don't read as the curves you give them in the chart, they read as straight lines. You'd have to exaggerate the pose way more to get those nice S- and C-curves in there.

I posted one response on PixelJoint, but I thought I'd elaborate regarding my comment about the face. Don't think you need to go so realistic as Night did with his edit, but I feel the shape is just a bit straight and flat. Once again I have to say I really love the hair. xD

I think yours is to strong, while mine is too weak.

Played around with it.

This should have been the line which made the face look less cute.

Maybe it's enough to build up the cheekbone a little...?

EDIT:
Just saw the PJ version. Very very nice and an improvement over the version on here. But it still has that same cheekbone issue (in my opinion) that makes the face look flat-ish:

I think maybe I prefer the orange tint you had before.

thanks ErekT.

The sprite already served it's purpose. won't polish that one up to the last bits.
I looked what the overall impression for that particular style I used is like, got my questions answered and yeah, moving on.
Might edit the face later for pj/devart though

topic closed I guess.
