Request for advice on WIP Sprite Animation.

on: March 04, 2015, 04:22:25 pm
Hi there!

I've recently made the leap from MS Paint to Graphicsgale and I am well and truly enjoying the new interface. I've also seen it as a good opportunity to bring life to my sprites and work with animation. I've done animated sprites in the past but it's been a good while since then. And I would like some general thoughts and advice towards the above mario gif before I apply shading.

Many thanks!

Before I attempt to offer any advice on the animation; what is the action that mario is supposed to be performing?

Also at that resolution I'd reduce the size of the nose and add in the White space for the M on his cap and include the defining end lines for the shoulder straps and the buttons that keep them in place.

Is he doing Zumba lunges by chance?
