Hello everyone!

Who am I?
I'm a german computer scientist, currently working as an IT consultant (for web applications). This job isn't my dream job though. I have always loved to develop my own games and I have ideas for new games all the time. However I'm always very limited in what I can achieve because of my lack of artistic skills. Furthermore not having any nice assets really kills motivation after some time. That's why I'm searching for an experienced artist here to collaborate on developing some games together.

What would I do?
I will do the programming parts of the projects.
I would provide the "infrastructure" like a website, domain, server etc, if necessary.
I would also do the game designing myself in case the artist does not want to take part in that.
I could provide translations for german, russian and english.
I'm an expert in Java and got quite some experience with a framework called LibGDX, which allows me to develop games for many platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Ouya and even run them in a modern browser. Despite mobile games, Steam could also be a way to go in the future.

Who am I looking for?
All in all I'm searching for a loyal, good (not necessarily professional) and motivated artist. Since I cannot quit my job at the moment myself I also don't expect my future teammate to quit his. That's why I'm searching for another hobby game developer, who enjoys spending his spare time on working on games as much as I do. This naturally leads to the fact that the projects would be rev-share only (50/50).

What game do I have in mind?
Currently I'm working on an incremental/idle game (very similar to http://www.clickerheroes.com/), as I have noticed that most of those games are flash games for (desktop) browsers only, even though they are even better suited for mobile devices! The game design is pretty much done and I have a playable prototype that has nearly all planned features working, as well as a basic UI to it (early sketch I made with Photoshop: http://i.imgur.com/u6yhxvW.png). I have already purchased a few asset bundles (for the general UI, icons etc) but enemies and backgrounds are still missing. Now that's where I need a skilled artist to help!

What do I need?
Fortunately, the enemies and environments pretty much don't matter to the actual gameplay of an incremental/idle game. That means you (the artist) can basically come up with anything you want. There are some technical requirements though. I would like the backgrounds to be isometric and tiled, to be able to mix and scramble those tiles for more variation. I have purchased a matching tileset that any new environments could be based on. The enemies should be animated and unfortunately I am only able to support Spine (http://en.esotericsoftware.com/), or sprite sheet animations currently.

And now?
If you are interested message me here or drop me an email at danielholderbaumatgmaildotcom, together with some examples of your work/skills/portfolio. I can show the current progress and explain the details and plans for the game in private. In case I forgot to mention something important, let me know.

PS: I'm hoping for a long-term partnership, not just for this single game. I have a long list of completely different game prototypes that I was never able to finish alone, but that could be pickup up, continued and finished together.

I'm at least interested enough to talk it over with you. I'll send you a mail.
