Hey guys!

I'm just starting out with pixel art and and animation. I guess I would like to know just how active this forum is? I would like to join a few communities that have lot of active users to get as much advice as possible.

Also (not dissing this forum, would just like to join a few more) what other Pixel art communities do you guys belong to?

Thanks guys!  :)
Just Starting Out. :)

If you look for a community which just has tons of active users, Pixelation definitely is the wrong place.
Here are just about 2 dozen people who write regularly.
But that's just a matter of quantity, not one of quality.

Same as Cyangmou.
If people here think your project deserved to be enhanced, you'll usually really receive top tier advice from professional artists & animators.

Is it... against the rules to post a link to pixeljoint? Here's another pixel art community. Can also try places like TIGsource.

We do have a good atmosphere here, but there are other places if you're looking for different opinions.

Pixelation is more useful for crits and stuff rather than looking at pretty pictures because as they said a lot of quality pixellers come on here frequently.

I'm sure sure that there are many like myself who peruse the forum regularly, but hardly ever post.

Yep things are slow here.
Don't always expect to get replies within the same day.
But stick around and you'll find this place to be adequately dopetastic.

It must be said again; Quality versus quantity, this forum specializes in the former.

A single post by any one of the more experienced users here is worth than a hundred replies in other forums, who may usually consist of petty praise and low quality critique.
