[PAID] Pixel Artists and Animators for 16-bit title

on: October 29, 2014, 02:31:24 am
Greetings Pixel Prodigies,
We are KBJ Games, a small-but-scrappy videogame start-up in Cincinnati, OH with a few shipped titles under the company banner and over 20 years of dev experience on PC, consoles and mobile platforms.

We're hard at work on a new retro-themed online murder mystery called Devil's Bluff, and have been working with some top-notch illustrators to define a visual style, but now we're ready to make them sing.

The game's visual target is best described as a cartoonish-yet-sinister world; dark, funny, almost ironically menacing.

For more on this, here's some WIP goodies from the game that are relevant to the task at hand:

At this stage in the game, we're looking to add 1-2 extremely talented, experienced pixel artists with some animation chops to help us flesh out the existing work - particularly those with experience working on environments.

Here's a few links that represent the level of quality and detail we're seeking:

We're a tight-knit team in a growth period, and provided we work well together, we're wide open to the idea of a project-long commitment or potential full-time employment when the time comes.

Ideal candidates will have:

    - A solid portfolio of pixel work with a cartoonish bend, focused on characters and environments.
    - Experience on shipped titles preferred, but not a deal-breaker if you portfolio is solid.
    - Immediate availability for up to 40 hours of paid work.
    - Excellent, prompt communication.

Rates will be negotiable between $15 and $40/hour based on experience, talent and availability.

Feel free to respond here or drop us a line at

Good luck!
