Help with run animation

on: October 17, 2014, 04:10:48 pm
Hey all, first post here. I'm pretty new to pixel art and animation in general.

I'm working on character animations for a game I'm starting on. I made this south-facing run animation. Now i'm trying to make an east-facing animation of the same character but I'm getting a bit stuck on how best to rotate the character.

The general perspective I'm going for is something akin to that of Hyper Light Drifter or Children of Morta.

Here's the animation I've got so far:

Would love some feedback on this animation as well as tips/examples of east-facing run animations. Thanks!

He's got a nice rhythm going, but his cape could use some love.

as for your east, you are going to want something that is believable for both east and west.
not really sure what you mean by rotating your character, just keep him the same size.

There are already has great examples for running in all directions in the thread so don't exclude those! D:
