[WiP] simple Knight [C+C]

This is a knight im working on. im pretty happy with the body but the head is giving me trouble. Perhaps is squishing the detail in such a  small area but i cant get it to look right.

Any help to move it along would be greatly appreciated.

OK happy with the head now but the Scarf under his head
is not really looking much like a  scarf.
The image below is what im want to go for but how exactly i would represent it is stumping me

Chest armor usually is V-shaped to guide strikes away from your body, that's why fantasy boobplates and muscle armor is impractical.
Fancy shoulder armor also doesn't quite make sense since it adds a lot of weight and offers no benefit other than blunt weapons not slipping off of it if it is curved upwards like that and you taking the full force of the blow maybe.

The sprite is good. I overpainted it, but changed the style a little. C&C-wise, I'd just try to separate the armour parts more clearly, watch the saturation on the cape, and shrink the highlights.
