Hello all,
We are searching for an experienced and talented 2D isometric pixel artist to work with us on an upcoming project. Our client is a major Australian brand and this will be a high profile project for them.
The work will involve the creation of a large, urban environment, created in an '8-bit' isometric pixel art style. The map will contain numerous buildings and shops, a mall, streets, parks, an airport and a seaport. It will also contain additional objects such as vehicles and people – in these instances a few variations of each object may be required.
Images of a few examples of similar artwork to what we are looking for have been included below.
It is expected that the map will contain many tile-based and reusable elements. It would be ideal if some objects such as buildings could be created as templates and then re-skinned with different colours and logos.
We are specifically looking for an artist with a high quality portfolio that demonstrates past work showing urban environments and objects created in this style. Unfortunately, artists who do not meet this requirement will not be considered for this project.
This is a freelance role for which we will pay a day rate based on an agreed overall estimate and scope of work. This project will require a full time effort with an immediate start. An artist based in Australia would be preferred, however we would be more than happy to work with the right international artist.
