another run animation for platformer game

on: July 05, 2014, 07:18:23 am
Hi everyone i'm new here me and my friend working on 2d platformer game and here is character made by me.  :P

I away think run animation is most hardest basic animation to make I rework on this animation many times while the last one start to look promise but i still feel something not right about her legs just don't know why.

Thank you for all comment and suggestion.  :)

Upper and lower part looks a bit out of sync for me. And this looks more like power walk than running, because there are no frames where both feet are in air, that's why it looks strange to you.  :)

Also it could help if you make big paw bounce for one or two pixels during the run, now it's too stiff. You could also animate the mane, that would increase dynamic of the whole piece.

it might just be that the animation is really fast but I've noticed that her toes don't bend when she runs.

You need 1 more frame for a 4 frame runcycle with 2 frames of airtime and a bit more vertical movement.

Does scaling an image blur it?
