That Other Human Body (fairly large image)

on: July 29, 2006, 11:53:05 am

For the most part, based on myself. Didn't actually use a photo or anything, but I basically glanced at different areas and looked in the mirror a few times to sort of understand how to draw a larger/"less active" body, since I'm so used to seeing fit and muscular bodies in art. Basically what I'd like from you guys is advice on highlights and shadows. Obviously the light source is coming from the (our) top right, so base it off that. I'm trying to make it a goal to use the entire MS Paint pallete, effectively, in this piece. This is probably the first time I've tried something this large, and the first time I've tried anything with a really strange pallete. It's definitely going to be a bit difficult.

Oh yeah, edit for feet, plz? Haha.

The style of the art is a little erratic, but I like it. The only major beef with it is... does he have two pair of man-boobs, or are those his ribs?
