[PAID] Pixel Artist Wanted

on: April 02, 2014, 03:57:48 am
Hi all,

We are a small but established indie studio looking for artists to work on our next game.

The game is top down stealth, set in a 1980’s Cold War alternate timeline.  The palette is dark and drab.  We are looking for 8 or 16 bit pixel art, the final version will be decided based on who we pick as the best fit to work with our team.

We need assets in 3 areas and are willing to hire one person for everything or multiple artists to work in the different areas.

Character Sprite Art - Top down animated character art, either 16x16 pixels or 24x24 pixels per frame.  50-60 frames per sprite sheet.  We need a minimum of 3 characters, plus a few animals with only about 10 frames each.  Please note this is true top down perspective like Hotline Miami, not a forced perspective or isometric view.

Environmental/Scenery Art - Most of the game takes place in an industrial and military themed setting.  We need floors, walls, weapons, props, etc.  There is also the potential for outdoor scenes.

Cutscene Art - The game has simple cutscenes.  We need heads and busts of two characters based on actual historical figures.  Only minimal animation is required.

We need delivery of final assets by the end of May at the latest.

More information on our studio can be found at team2bit.com. Our last game was Fist Puncher, published by Adult Swim on Steam, also available on Xbox and OUYA.

If you’re interested, please contact us at info@team2bit.com with rates, availability and some samples of your work.  The game is already pretty far along, but we’re willing to take your input and give you some freedom to create assets that fit within our existing constraints.  We could pay hourly but would prefer to agree on a fixed amount for a predefined set of assets.

The reference image below should give you an idea of what we’re looking for.  We can provide a full style guide and sprite sheets samples if we like your work.

Thanks to everyone who contacted us.  We've filled our artist position for this job.  Lots of great candidates, I'll make sure to refer other developers to this forum!
