I am a web / application programmer that has just started getting into Mobile Game Development. I am in need of someone that can offer me the full design experience. This will include splash screens, icons, background art and sprites.
For this first project I have a set amount of art that needs to be created and would want to work on a fixed rate for everything. Future projects would work on an hourly basis. I am very happy to give (almost) complete creative freedom to the artist, I will just provide you with the technical specs and an "art direction".
What I need for this project: The current project I am working on is all about a little cow with a jetpack strapped to his back. He uses this to traverse obstacles that are loosely based on farm equipment (think barns, tractors, hay bales).
1. The cow sprite itself - side-facing. It will need to have three states: "walking", "flying" and "jetpack engaged". The "flying" and "jetpack" animation can be the exact same except for some particle effect (smoke, fire, anything). Example of a style I am looking for:
2. A simplistic logo. Probably just the name of the game (will provide later) in a funky font with the same cow. See the "Junk'd" logo below for an example
3. A splash screen. Resolution: 1280 x 720 (with bleeds so that no text/important item disappears on 4:3 and 3:2 resolutions). Can be very simple like:
4. A background image (1280 x 720). Very simplistic, a sky with some clouds and maybe a field with wheat/trees lower down. Example:
5. Various farm-related obstacles (starting with 4, might expand later - at cost): Barn, Hay bales, Tractor, Water tower. Same art style as the rest of the game (cartoony, pixel-art)
